If you arrive at the check-in location and are unable to locate a member of the residence life staff, go to the Student Development Office located in Room 1503 of the Benedictine Center for Servant Leadership or call (701) 355-8217 for assistance.
Early Arrivals
Requests to check-in early will be considered for approval on a case-by-case basis. If your request is approved, you will be assessed $40/day for each day you stay on campus in advance of your designated check-in date. If your request is submitted less than 72 hours from your assigned arrival date and time, you will be assessed a $50 late request for daily housing fee + $40/day.
Meal Plans
Meal plans do NOT start before the semester begins. If you arrive early, be prepared to purchase any meals you eat unless you are part of a group or team that will be providing meals.
Fees and Penalties
We want to avoid having you pay fees for the following penalties:
• Improper Check-in fee ($50) –- Assessed if a student moves into his/her student residence without being checked-in by a member of the residence life staff. Please do not move in, even if your roommate is already there. You will need to check-in first.
• Re-cleaning fee ($50) – Assessed if a student residence needs to be re-cleaned in order to get the room back into move-in condition after one student has moved in. Please keep your roommate’s space clean and free of belongings, so it is ready for him/her to move in.
• Unauthorized guest ($250 + $40/day) – A hefty price to pay to allow someone who is not authorized by the University to stay in your student residence. If you have a friend or family member of the same gender visit, you need to register him/her in advance with your residence director.
