Self-Service Password Reset

OIT offers a Self-Service Password Reset service available at, which is accessible from any internet-capable device.  Students, faculty, and staff can register for this service.  

Reset or change your own password.  For your security, this service offers multiple authentication methods including security questions, validation codes and Google Authenticator functionality.  The Self-Service Password Reset Portal can be accessed from on or off campus.  Attached to this email are instructions for registration and use of the password reset features.  Please feel free to contact the OIT helpdesk at any time for assistance.

Yes, There’s an App for That!

Password resets have never been easier!  OIT provides a password reset mobile application, ADSelfServicePlus, available to UMary students and employees.  Please follow the instructions below to download and configure the application onto your mobile device.

1. Login into the password reset portal using the same username and password you use for UMary email at

NOTE: You must enroll in the password self-service before you can use the new mobile application. (If you have already enrolled to use the self-service password reset service, you DO NOT have to enroll again) 

2. Click on the Mobile Access icon and scan the appropriate QR code  (Step-1 below) to download the mobile application.

3.Open ADSelfServicePlus on your device.

4. Inside the mobile application, select “Server Settings” then click the “Scan Server Settings” button and scan the QR code (Step-2 above) to register your device.
